What you should know about Clear aligners?

What are clear aligners (i.e. Invisalign, etc.) ?

Often referred to as “Invisalign”, the first aligner brand on the market, orthodontic aligners are a removable, virtually invisible solution to straighter teeth. Treatment entails a series of clear, custom-made trays that gradually move your teeth into alignment. Clear aligners are priced 40% less expensive than leading brands on the market and available exclusively by trained orthodontists at Western Dental.

How do Clear Orthodontic Aligners work?

Aligners are clear plastic trays that snaps over your teeth. You wear them for 18-20 hours a day, removing them when you eat and when you brush and floss your teeth. Your personal Orthodontist will provide you with a series of clear trays that you’ll change out every few weeks.  Your teeth will gradually move to their new position over the course of approximately 20 sets of aligners.

How do clear braces work?

Clear braces are good for people who are looking for an alternate to metal brackets to straighten their teeth. They use the same technique to shift your smile as standard metal braces, except the brackets are less noticeable. Your orthodontist will adjust them every 4-6 weeks until you have the smile you always wanted.
